Premier Inn, the UK’s largest hotel company, yesterday opened its 500th property, in Bournemouth.
The 98-bedroom hotel, 15 minutes away from the seafront in the coastal town, was unveiled by Premier Inn managing director Patrick Dempsey and marketing director Gerard Tempest.
Dempsey said: “We’re delighted to be the first UK hotel chain to reach the landmark of 500 hotels nationwide and look forward to welcoming guests to enjoy a good night – guaranteed - in our newest hotel in the thriving town of Bournemouth.”
Dempsey was this week involved in discussions with the British Hospitality Association over potentially setting up a Budget Hotels Committee at the industry body.
