The Scottish Wholesale Association (SWA) has appointed Graham Benson, managing director of Bellevue Cash & Carry, as its vice-president.
He will spend a year in the role before taking over as president from Eddie Lynagh in June 2004.
Benson previously served as president between 1996 and 1998 and will become only the second person in the association's 63-year history to hold the presidential position twice.
Having joined Bellevue Cash & Carry 28 years ago, he became managing director in 1990. He was first recruited to the SWA council in 1992 and has been a member of its licensed committee since its inception in 1994.
The SWAhas represented the interests of Scottish food and drink manufacturers since 1940.
