London's Nordic eaterie Glas hopes to expand with a second site in the capital's Upper Street in October.
Founder Anna Mosesson is due to exchange contracts this week for a new £230,000 property in Islington, which will be renamed Upper Glas. The 100-seat site, which was formerly Lola's, comes with a
15-year lease and will be a fine-dining version of its sister restaurant.
The new property will be refurbished in Mosesson's style and will have new front- and back-of-house teams, although a chef has yet to be named.
Mosesson said the original Glas would "become more of a bistro" to make it more attractive to market traders and local residents.
