Claudio Pulze opens London pub

Thursday 20 July 2006 00:00
Veteran London restaurateur Claudio Pulze is to open his first-ever pub in London later this year.

Although few details were available as Caterer went to press, a spokeswoman confirmed that Pulze had bought a property in the Baker Street area, which would continue to operate as a pub.

The site is believed to be the Beehive pub on Crawford Street, which was sold by the Capital Pub Company in June.

Meanwhile, Pulze will officially open his 16th restaurant on 7 August on the site of the former Deca restaurant in Conduit Street, Mayfair. Via Condotti (formerly Deca) is a partnership between Pulze, front-of-house manager Richard Martinez and chef Pascale Amico.
