Marston Hotels has launched a real-time conference booking facility.

Rather than call each hotel direct, customers can now check availability instantly at the group’s 223 conference and meeting rooms via its website.

Developed in conjunction with Kinetic Solutions at Cranfield University, Marston expects the new automated service to have a significant impact on its business.

A Marston spokesman said: “When you’ve got almost 70 staff amending bookings and availability throughout the year, it’s almost impossible to keep track of everything. Now we have one access point, it’s going to cut administration time and costs.”

Details supplied by the customer are automatically converted into conference diary format and the customer receives an e-mail confirming their booking enquiry.
