The 200-year-old Cadeleigh Arms country inn near Tiverton in Mid Devon has been sold.
New owner Elspeth Burrage is from London but once lived near the village of Cadeleigh. She has appointed Jane Dreyer, former general manager at The Old Inn at Widecombe-in-the-Moor, Dartmoor, to run the inn.
The property comprises a 50-seat main bar and games room, a 60-seat skittle alley/function room, and an unused 20-seat restaurant that Burrage intends to reopen to serve locally-sourced, home-cooked food.
There is also three-bedroom owners’ accommodation, a trade garden and a car park.
The Exeter office of Christie + Co sold the freehold off a guide price of £445,000.
