Dutch-based budget hotel group CitizenM has opened its first UK hotel with the launch of this £100m 198-bedroom new-build hotel in Glasgow city centre, next to the Theatre Royal. It also plans two London properties.

Facilities include a bar lounge area and CanteenM, the 24-hour kiosk-style cafeteria where guests can get their own snacks, coffee and breakfast. Rooms feature touch-screen mood pads allowing guests to control the lighting, temperature and music volume in the room.
