Gordon Ramsay has reportedly bought the Warrington Hotel in London’s Maida Vale for £5.2m under his plans to launch a chain of gastropubs in the capital.
The chef and restaurateur, who has already secured the Narrow Street Kitchen and Dining Room in Limehouse, is planning to use the Warrington site as his flagship pub, according to the Daily Telegraph.
A source told the newspaper: “Gordon is just about to exchange contracts with the proprietors of the Warrington.
“The pub is one of London’s little gems. Built in 1859, it was completely refurbished in 1900, so the interior is still in incredibly good condition.”
A spokeswoman for Ramsay admitted talks were ongoing but would not provide further comment. Details are expected to be announced later this week.
