The founders of French hotel group Accor have announced that they are to leave the board.
Gerard Pélisson and Paul Dubrule will step down as supervisory members in January, but will remain with the board in an advisory role. The two will also be made co-chairmen at the company.
Accor said that the incoming non-executive board would be made up of 17 members. Four of these will be new names; Lagardere Group co-head Philippe Camus, former German finance minister Theo Waigel, former British ambassador Roderic Lyne, and Aldo Cardoso.
The announcement comes a month after Pélisson and Dubrule caused a boardroom fallout. Members of the board were left disgruntled when Pélisson’s nephew Gilles Pélisson was appointed as Accor’s new chief executive.
