The Tennant Arms

Popular Yorkshire Dales inn the Tennant Arms has been sold to a group of four investors with experience in events, recruitment, sport, outdoor pursuits, and holiday and overseas property development.

The stone inn – which appears in the film Calendar Girls – nestles under the huge limestone outcrop of Kilnsey Crag in the village of Kilnsey near Grassington in North Yorkshire.

It was built in the 17th century as a coaching inn along the original packhorse route through Wharfedale, which the gardens overlook.

Facilities include11 en-suite bedrooms, two restaurants to seat 64 diners, two bars, a lounge, a two-bedroom manager’s flat, and one en-suite staff bedroom.

The Leeds office of Christie + Co sold the lease – which runs until July 2024 – off a guide price of £200,000. Annual rent currently stands at £69,739.
