An exciting opportunity has arisen within Axiom Housing Association to provide a catering service across our 3 established, Peterborough based, Extra Care schemes.
Providing a high quality, mid-day meal restaurant service for over 140 residents and leaseholders, we are looking for an experienced provider who has a proven track record in providing a first class customer service to this client group. The contract is expected to be for an initial 3 year period (with a potential for a 2 year extension). Based on a 3 year contract period, the likely value of the contract would be in the region of £830,000, excluding VAT.
Extra Care enables often elderly and frail residents to live in their own flat, behind their own front door, within a safe and welcoming communal environment which includes access to on-site 24 hour care. The mid-day meal provision and restaurant style atmosphere is an essential part of this holistic and modern service.
We currently have caterers under contract and tenderers would need to ensure that a smooth transition with minimal disruption to clients would take place. Full service commencement will need to take place on 1 April 2012.
Axiom will run a 2 stage competitive process for this procurement. Organisations will be asked to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire from which a tender shortlist will be selected.
