The Ebury, London

The latest London restaurant and bar project from entrepreneur Tom Etridge, who also owns the Waterway in Maida Vale, Golborne House in Notting Hill and the Wells in Hampstead.

This time it's a 200-seat ground-floor brasserie, seafood bar and lounge and a more formal first-floor dining room. Opens 1 October.

Millbank Spice, London

A new Indian restaurant brought to SW1 by Salim Uddin and Abdur Rahim, who promise pan-Indian food in unpretentious and accessible surroundings. Opened 9 September.

Red, London

French-Vietnamese food in a 40-seat restaurant and a downstairs cocktail lounge bar (30 seats). Think lots of chandeliers, red walls, Philippe Starck chairs and mock-croc leather booths. Opens 1 October.

Rogue bar, Edinburgh

This new bar opens at the restaurant of the same name with a photography exhibition by Olivia Rutherford. It promises more art, photography and even contemporary furniture exhibitions from its opening on 19 September.
