Three new hotels confirmed for Village Urban Resorts

Three new De Vere Village Urban Resorts are now in the pipeline, the brand's chief executive, Robert Cook (pictured), has confirmed.

Exchange took place on a site in Portsmouth last week, to add to two other hotels being developed in Aberdeen and Edinburgh, with a fourth - in Glasgow - set to be signed shortly.

The construction of the Portsmouth hotel is set to get under way within three or four months, with its opening due at the end of 2013. It is expected that the hotels in Aberdeen and Edinburgh will be launched in 2014.

The 25-strong Village group is set to expand by 15 to 18 properties in the next three to five years. The brand is currently targeting sites in Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Bristol, Durham and Plymouth.
