Raymond Blanc to star in TV reality show

Chef Raymond Blanc is working on a BBC2 reality show called The Restaurant.

Blanc, who recently said that only “morons” watched reality TV, will mentor couples as they compete for a six-figure prize to open their own restaurant.

He told the Sun newspaper: “I look forward to sharing my experience and expertise with like-minded people who are eager to enter this crazy but irresistible world and achieve the dream for themselves.”

BBC2 controller Roly Keating said: “As well as providing an insight into the food that is served on our plates, it will reveal the harsh realities of the restaurant business.”
