Paul Hollis, a prestige account manager for wines, spirits and Champagne distributor Cellar Trends, has died.
In a statement issued today, the directors of Cellar Trends said: "It is with great sadness that the directors of Cellar Trends announce the death of their colleague, and friend, Paul Hollis, who passed away in his sleep on Sunday, following a short illness."
Martin Watts, managing director of Cellar Trends, said: "We will all miss Paul greatly. We remember his sales professionalism, his unlimited enthusiasm, his humour, his musicality (did anyone know more about the music of the 50s and 60s than Paul?), his twinkle toes on the dance floor and above all his "bounce back" characteristics in dealing with sales directors, managers and customers over the years. Paul is a great loss but the good memories of Paul will live forever. A legend has left us."
Hollis started his sales career with the original Matthew Clark, and he spent time at Remy & Associates, Lanson and for the past 10 years Cellar Trends.
He leaves a wife, Theresa, two children, James and Samantha and two grandchildren.
