Chunkier Britain's Pride chips from Lamb Weston

Tuesday 25 November 2008 12:08
Britain's Pride chipsChunkier 18 x 18 chips have been added by Britain's Pride following the launch of four different-sized chips earlier this year.

Designed for establishments looking to offer a more substantial chip, the new variety is made using British potatoes that are cut, blanched and prefried at the company's factory in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire.

The chips are described as having a full, natural potato taste and a holding time of twice that of standard fries, with a crisp and firm finish.

They are made using only Grade A potatoes; have a greater length and less moisture than standard fries; and lose less weight during frying, according to the company. The chips are supplied in cases of four with each case weighing 5.5lbs.
