George Doyle, a former hotel owner in Edinburgh, has snapped up the Bayswell hotel in Bayswell Park, Dunbar, East Lothian.
The property has 18 en-suite bedrooms, a cocktail and a lounge bar, and a 45-seat bistro restaurant. An adjacent flat provides a two-bedroom owners’ accommodation
The Edinburgh office of Christie + Co sold the hotel for around the asking price of £550,000 on behalf of previous owners Frank and Anne Creedican.
