Chilean producer Caliterra has released four new wines: Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2007; Reserva Sauvignon Blanc 2008; Tributo Carmenère 2006 and Tributo Sauvignon Blanc 2008.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (13.5% abv) is made from 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Carmenère grapes and displays an intense colour and aroma plus a complex and mature flavour.
The 100% Sauvignon Blanc 2008 (13.5% abv) from the Curicó Valley has an intense freshness and vibrancy, notes of gooseberry and asparagus, with a lingering flavour and pleasant finish.
Produced in the Colchagua Valley, the 14% abv Tributo Carmenère with 86% Carmenère, 10% Merlot and 4% Shiraz grapes has a deep, dark colour. This aromatic wine is described as intense and pleasant with notes of dried fruit, tobacco leaves and chocolate.
The Tributo Sauvignon Blanc 2008 from the Santa Marta Vineyard Casablanca Valley, has a 14% abv and intense aromas of lime and grapefruit. The fresh and vibrant wine displays hues of gooseberries and the faint aroma of asparagus.
