Manitowoc Q-Model 400 Series ice flakersCaterers can use flake ice for displaying salads, fish and cold platters or simply to scoop into drinks. It consists of free-flowing small, soft pieces of ice with a 65% ice-to-water ratio and doesn't fuse into solid blocks.

The Manitowoc Q-Model 400 Series of under-counter flake ice machines can produce up to 179kg of flake ice per day.

The series features a heavy-duty precision-machined bronze evaporator that is designed to offer heat transfer capabilities and reliability. A split-collar evaporator support with shaft coupling is designed to ensure a longer water seal and bearing life.

At 66mm wide and with a stainless-steel finish and front-venting air flow, the machines can be fitted into front-of-house spaces or back bars.

The machine also features fully automatic Manitowoc patented cleaning technology plus reusable air filters that slide out for cleaning.
