Hotels requiring a telephone network with up to 60 extensions might look to German private branch exchange (PBX) and phone manufacturer Elmeg for a solution. Its new ICT range can deliver a wake-up call in the guest's own language, provide an information line for tourists, and be linked to the hotel's front office system for itemised bill print-outs at checkout. The system will also prevent unauthorised calls when no one is checked into the room.
