The product is made from cornstarch, so it is 100% biodegradable and compostable and it will not smash, tear or splinter.
The cups have already been used at music festivals and sporting venues including Wembley, the Oval, Twickenham and various racecourses.
The pint and half pint versions are CE marked, and the full range comprises 7oz, half pint, 16oz and pint versions, with slot or dome lids.
