Corrigan, has his sights set on Greece.

Corrigan distanced himself from Searcy's new London project, stressing that he wasn't involved, despite reports otherwise.

Following a board meeting with Corrigan last week, Searcy's deputy chairman Richard Goodhew said: "We're now looking at several new projects. We want to find something in the West End with a decent square footage and turnover." Goodhew added they had been looking for a suitable site for some time.

Corrigan was non-committal, however. "You never know what could happen," he said. "We have talked about new projects at board level but nothing immediate is planned. Talk is cheap. There's nothing in the hand, in the pocket or in the bush, but we're always looking."

The chef said he continued to have a "brilliant relationship" with Searcy's.

Corrigan also revealed he was looking at potential sites in Athens, although he denied anything would happen for at least six months.

Corrigan continues to cook at the one-Michelin-starred Lindsay House and has recently set up the kitchen team at London's Swiss Re Tower, known as "the Gherkin", for Searcy's.
