Water blade technology is a highlight of the latest MiniRack dual-tank dishwashers from Maidaid.

It creates flat blades of water to more effectively remove food than conventional cone-shaped jet systems.

The machines use only 1.8 litres of water per rack, compared with the average 2.7-3 litres for conventional hood-type dishwashers. This also saves about 35% of energy used to heat the wash water, as well as further savings in detergents and rinse aids.

The unit capacities range from 65 to 220 racks per hour or 1,200 to 4,000 dishes.

There are two models to choose from: R3003 and R3004 twin-tank models feature pre-wash and wash/rinse tanks and three speed settings to cater for different levels of soiling.

The dishwashers shut down after a short period of inactivity to reduce temperatures and conserve energy but power up when a new rack is inserted. Prices start from just over £8,000.
