Innovate wins Plymouth school catering deal
Innovate Services has taken over the catering operation at Plymstock School, Plymouth, in a deal worth around £400,000 following the major refurbishment of the student dining facilities.
The school, which this year will celebrate its centenary, transformed a former run-down gymnasium into state-of-the-art student dining facilities in a £500,000 project that was managed by the caterer.
As part of the five-year deal, with an option to extend to seven years, Innovate will open for breakfast and provide staff and students with a range of services throughout the day including hot and cold snacks such as wraps, paninis and pasta bowls.
The space, which incorporates eco solar panels to support the power and heating of the building, is also fully Wi-Fi enabled.
Derick Martin, co-founder and chief executive of Innovate Services, said, "Now the refurbishment is complete, we are delivering a completely new menu to the staff and students and have already seen a dramatic increase in uptake."
