This was the second year of the Best Employers in Hospitality Awards Scotland, organised by hospitality recruitment specialist Caterer.com in partnership with Learnpurple, and the event saw winners across nine different award categories, a ranking of the top 25 employers in Scotland and an overall winner.
"These are the only awards that recognise employers in the eyes of those that truly count - the employees. We are delighted to see such a diverse range of businesses from large to very small represented again this year. These businesses should be truly proud of their status as the Scottish industry's best employers" said Caterer.com's director, Ian Burke.
The results were based on the opinions of over 1,000 employees working for the companies that entered, the results were collated using an employee engagement survey designed by award partners Learnpurple.
The results did not include a judging panel.
Toby Wand of event sponsor ScotHot commented: "ScotHot 2013 promotes excellence in Scottish hospitality. These exacting standards can only be achieved by highly professional employers. We are proud to support this year's Best Employers in Hospitality Awards in Scotland"
Simon Wright, director of event sponsor Ellis Mack Recruitment, said "Ellis Mack loves clients that care about providing an environment where the talent in our industry can flourish. We feel that the most successful employers are the ones that value the contribution and feedback of their team on a day-to-day basis. We are proud to continue our involvement in supporting an award such as the Best Employers in Hospitality - where the nominees are voted for by their employees based on the team's opinions about how good their company actually is to work for."
For those in England & Wales, attention now turns to the Best Employers in Hospitality 2012 England & Wales which is now open for entries at www.bestemployersinhospitality.com. Entry is free.
