Producing five espresso-based coffees at the touch of a button, the modular C5 can be supplied in various sizes with options available to provide hot water and steam and either an integrated or external milk chilling and foaming unit.
Every internal part of the C5 is cleaned with an automatic program, meaning that no dismantling of parts is necessary and that no internal part need be touched by human hand. Instead, the machine alerts the operator that cleaning is required - which simply necessitates the insertion of a tablet.
Although milk-based deposits can be very difficult to clean by normal methods, the Melitta system is so consistently thorough that the company has gained HACCP certification in recognition of the standard of hygiene achieved.
