Contract caterer Sodexho Alliance has denied a report that it considering bidding for property services group Jones Lang LaSalle.
French weekly newsletter La Lettre de l'Expansion, citing “sources close to the matter”, suggested on Monday that Sodexho had asked Lazard bank to look into buying the US group for $137 (£70) a share, or more than $5b (£2.54b) in total.
Sodexho, it said, would pay for the acquisition in debt and through a capital increase of $1b (£510m)
But a Sodexho spokeswoman flatly refuted the claims. "We deny we are interested in Jones Lang LaSalle," she told the Reuters news service.
