Acclaim Food wins ShockWaves NME Awards contract

Contract caterer Acclaim Food has won the contract for the ShockWaves NME awards 2007, worth around £35,000.

The star-studded music event, which will take place on 1 March, will cater for over 600 guests at the Hammersmith Palais in London.

The menu will take up the hook of this year’s theme "band gear" and will be served in a personalised tour-style flight case.

Starters will be served in a noodle box containing lemon-grass chicken, teriyaki beef skewer, Thai crab and coconut cake and butternut squash and sweet potato parcel.  The main course box will feature either five spiced chicken or vegetables with onions and peas, served on Jasmine rice.

Tim Holt, general manager of Acclaim Food, said: "We're delighted to be working on the ShockWaves NME Awards 2007 and we're sure that the Acclaim menu will rival anything guests have experienced in the past."
