Former Caterer Adopted Business launches new Brighton pub

The owners of former Caterer Adopted Business the Preston Park Tavern have launched a second pub, the Chimney House in Brighton.

The new food-led pub owned by Andrew and Helen Coggings, will feature a menu based on local, seasonal ingredients and modern British food.

The family-friendly pub also has a private room for hire upstairs, which can accommodate up to 30 people for meetings, private dinners or weddings.

Andrew Coggings, a former general manager of Brown’s in London and the De Vere Grand hotel in Brighton, said he hoped the new venture would emulate the success of Preston Park Tavern.

He said: “We hope to create something as successful as the Preston Park Tavern, which – through word of mouth only – has been consistently busy and buzzy for the past two years.

“At the Chimney House we have refurbished it to bring out the Victorian cosiness of the pub and brought in a great new chef, George Stenning, who has created a wholesome and hearty winter menu, changing weekly to use seasonal ingredients.”
