Compass has announced that it remains on track to deliver 6% like-for-like turnover growth for the first half of this financial year and has announced a round-up of contract wins and retentions.
In the UK, the contract catering giant has renewed its £25m-a-year contract with British Telecom for a further seven years - one of the biggest contract catering deals in the UK. Medirest has been awarded a new five-year deal with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, worth £2m a year to the company.
Scolarest has won contracts for two new schools in South Wales and six schools in Newcastle upon Tyne with combined annual sales of £1m.
In the USA, the group has won a 10-year contract with electrical retailer Best Buy worth $4m (£2.54m) a year, and has retained contracts with Exxon Mobil, $5m (£3.18m) a year, Pfizer, $6m (£3.81m) a year, and Suncor, $19m (£12m) a year.
North American healthcare division, Morrison, has won a 10-year contract with the Children's hospital in Washington, worth $5m (£3.18m) in annual sales.
In Germany, Eurest has won contracts with T-system (part of Deutsche Telecom), Philip Morris and four prevously self-operated restaurants with DZ Bank.
