Robyn Jones, founder and chief executive of Charlton House Catering Services, has been shortlisted for the Veuve Clicquot award, Businesswoman of the Year 2002.
She started her company in a spare room in 1991 and has seen it grow annually by 42% over the past four years. It now employs 900 people, and this year is expected to exceed its budgeted annual turnover of £30.5m.
Jones is up against Jane Barclay and Sharon Harel, co-founders and joint managing directors of Capitol Films; Dawn Gibbons, founder and chairman of Flowcrete Group of Companies; and Lizzie Vann, founder and managing director of Organix Brands. The winner will be announced on 24 April.
