Catey Chef Award winner and two-Michelin-starred chef David Everitt-Matthias has agreed to consult to P&G Professional.

The makers of Fairy will engage Everitt-Matthias’s expertise in activities such as product development, sponsorship and campaigns for the brand.

He is also expected to judge at the 2008 Springboard FutureChef competition and will be inviting the winner to spend a week’s stage in his kitchen at Le Champignon Sauvage in Cheltenham, under his tutorage.

The relationship developed following Everitt-Matthias’s success at last year’s Cateys, when he won the category which is sponsored by the Fairy brand.

Everitt-Matthias said: “I am always keen to develop talent and excellence within our industry, and through the relationship with P&G Professional and the Fairy brand I will be able to continue to do so.”

Mat Baker, country director for P&G Professional, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with David. He is a great chef, a true professional and a committed member of our industry. His involvement in our work with Fairy will complement and enhance it. After all, as a chef that does his own washing up, David is best placed to provide knowledgeable, first-hand and honest feedback that will be respected by our team.”
