Montys Riverside Restaurant

A riverside restaurant with views of Windsor Castle and planning permission for a hotel has been put on the market with Oxford-based property agent Davey & Co.

Montys Riverside Restaurant is a colonial-style property on the banks of the River Thames at Windsor Bridge in Eton, Berkshire.

The 120-seat restaurant is adjacent to the Eton College boathouses and has its own deep mooring facilities to allow guests to arrive and leave by boat.

It incorporates verandas, terraces and a garden for al fresco dining and the restaurant’s current business embraces conferences, banqueting, private dining and wedding receptions.

The property comes with planning permission to convert unused adjacent office space into a hotel with 28 en-suite bedrooms.

“Montys is in a superb position overlooking the river and only a few minutes walk from Windsor Castle,” said Paul Davey, managing director at Davey & Co.

“The restaurant is in excellent condition and it also benefits from the planning permission to develop a hotel on the site.”

Davey & Co is seeking offers in excess of £500,000 for the leasehold on the restaurant.
