Cirencester innkeepers buy second Cotswold property

Amberley Inn

Andrew Freeland and Rupert Longsdon have snapped up the Amberley Inn, a traditional Cotswold hostelry that overlooks the Five Valleys of Stroud in Gloucestershire.

The new owners also run the Tunnel House inn and barn near Cirencester.

The Amberley Inn is located on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment at Minchinhampton Common and is just a 15-minute drive from the Stroud junction on the M5.

The inn has 12 en-suite bedrooms (some with Jacobean four-poster beds) that are divided between the main inn and the more secluded Garden Cottage.

It also offers a 60-seat restaurant divided into two parts, a bar, and a first-floor meeting or party room that can accommodate up to 16 people.

The Cirencester office of Colliers Robert Barry sold the leasehold on the inn off a guide price of £200,000.
