Peel Hotels financial director John Perkins has resigned from the position as well as the company’s board of directors.

Perkins, who has held the role for nearly nine years, fell ill in 2006 and was consequently unable to fulfil his duties for most of the year. He has been replaced by Nick Parrish, who in Perkins’s absence took over his responsibilities.

Peel Hotels said: “We thank Perkins for all his work over the years and wish him a speedy recovery and a happy retirement.”
