Chef Gordon Ramsay is understood to have signed a deal to take his television series Hell's Kitchen to the USA.
It follows the success of the reality cookery series, recently screened on ITV.
Ramsay was unavailable for comment and his PR company refused to confirm the speculation.
A spokesman said: "It is all tentative stuff. It is one of many ideas and it is not wise to say it is definite at this stage."
It is thought Ramsay has agreed a deal with the Fox network after meeting executives in Los Angeles last week.
Filming on the show is expected to start in the autumn.
