Consisting of an easily removable plastic liner, the cavity protection system (CPS) available with Sharp professional microwave ovens is designed to protect the cavity and roof against food splatter and liquid spillage.
Supplier RH Hall points out that such problems can otherwise lead to burn-ups and damage not normally covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
The CPS is cleaned with washing-up liquid or can be placed in a non-caustic-use dishwasher. By keeping the cavity clean, the CPS also contributes to more efficient heating, while the specially designed base can be used with disposable silicone inserts to prevent cross-contamination between foods.
