The Flying Dog, Great Divide and Left Hand Brewing craft breweries - all from Colorado -are the latest additions to James Clay and Sons' portfolio of more than 200 speciality beers from around the world.

The new beers include Doggy Style Classic Pale Ale (5.3%), amber in colour and dry-hopped with Cascades; Juju Ginger Ale (4.0%), a light, crisp beer with the addition of organic ginger root lending it a distinct spicy aroma and which pours a thick, creamy head with clear, golden colour; and Titan IPA (6.8%), an aggressively-hopped India Pale Ale for those who like robust beers with an abundance of hop flavour. It begins with piney hop aromas and citrus hop flavours and finishes with a rich, malty sweetness carefully balanced with crisp hop bitterness.

They will be joined in the autumn by shipments from other US craft brewers, such as Terrapin Brewing from Atlanta and Victory from Pennsylvania, and bolster the existing US list, which currently includes New York City's Brooklyn Brewery, Anchor Brewing of San Francisco and Goose Island of Chicago.

"America is now producing some of the world's most flavourful and exciting beers, and we will be offering wholesalers an increasing number of their seasonal specials in 35.5cl bottles," promises Nigel Stevenson, of James Clay.

June additions include Anchor Summer Ale, Goose Island's delicate K”lsch-style summertime ale, and Brooklyn's East India Pale Ale and Pumpkin Ale. James Clay also intends to offer many of these beers in 19.5-litre kegs in the near future.
