A new range of hot filled sandwich snacks from Panino Sandwich Company, part of Kerry Foodservice, will help caterers tap into the growing commercial sandwich sector that’s currently valued at £4.6b with Brits consuming more than 2.7 million sandwiches out of the home last year.
The sandwiches are packaged in deli-style heating sleeves that keep the bread crisp, and can be reheated from frozen, cooked from thawed, or defrosted and displayed in chillers or vending machines.
Premium fillings include Chicken & Pesto or Bacon & Cheese on stone-baked ciabatta bread, and Tuna Provenale, Chicken & Bacon, Ham & Cheese, and Tomato & Mozzarella on stone-baked panini.
Kerry believes the range is especially suited to wet-led pubs, vending machines and room service in budget hotels.
