QuickGrill returns after nine-year absence

QuickGrill - the formed beef steak that disappeared from British menus some nine years ago when the US company ran into trouble - has been relaunched in 90g and 120g sizes in the UK.

The US patent owners have licensed an Irish firm to manufacture the beef steaks and David Joseph - who was involved with the original QuickGrill operation - has set up QuickGrill Foods Europe to market the line in the UK.

The beef steaks are made via a patented process that removes the sinews and connective tissue and pre-sears the surface to lock in natural juices and flavours.

They can be griddled, dry-fried or oven-baked in minutes from frozen and are highly versatile - they can be used in a steak sandwich, as a main meal on children’s menus, or in stir-fries and tortillas. They’re sold in packs of 30.
