Fosters Events Catering wins £5m contract at Cheltenham Town Hall
Fosters Event Catering has won a new £5m contract at Cheltenham Town Hall.
The caterer has operated at the site for the past four years and during that time increased the turnover of the catering business by £300,000.
The new deal will see Fosters assume exclusive responsibility for all public and commercial catering at the prestigious Pittville Pump Rooms, Cheltenham Town Hall and the new Skillicorne Garden.
Neil Lodge, chief executive of Fosters Event Catering, said: "We've learnt a lot in the past four years and know what needs to be done to take these impressive venues to the next level. The aim is to enhance the current offer and ensure the experience for partners and guests is tailored to their exact needs and requirements."
Fosters will provide capital investment to upgrade various aspects of the current facilities and offer, including a new pop-up restaurant concept, upgrading the bar and buffet areas and developing a pod operation to ease queues at larger events.
New technology will be used to provide a new interval drinks service and a further £30,000 will be invested in new tableware.
"Fosters was up against some major national players in the pitching process but their truly bespoke, flexible approach, innovation and ongoing commitment to our success made them stand out, added Gary Nejrup, business and entertainment manager at Cheltenham Town Hall.
"Fosters are not hampered by central buying systems or menus that limit the extent to which they can tailor their offer to the client, which is important when you're dealing with the range of customers we see in our venues."
