Thistle Hotels bolsters senior management team

Thistle Hotels has appointed two new operations directors.

Dave Cockburn will be responsible for the London sector and Chris Gillett will head up the provinces team. Both will report to chief executive Tim Scoble.

Cockburn previously worked at Trendwest, Gold Coast Australia and has also worked at Forte Hotels in London and CDL Hotels, New Zealand. He will oversee both the Thistle and luxury Guoman brands.

Gillett joins Thistle from MacDonald Hotels where he was regional managing director, Scotland, He has also been area general manger London for Thistle Hotels.

The company currently operates 47 hotels in the UK with 16 in central London.
