Wicked Coffee Company logoThe Wicked Coffee Company is helping to preserve tropical rainforests in Indonesia and Honduras thanks to its involvement with an international wildlife charity.

The Yorkshire-based coffee company has teamed up with the Operation Wallacea Trust to work on a conservation project which has resulted in the creation of its newly launched Jungle blend coffee.

The project has involved the formation of contracts with local coffee producers whereby Wicked agreed to purchase their crop directly and pay them a fair price; in return, the farmers agreed to an embargo on logging and hunting in designated rainforest areas.

The resulting Jungle blend coffee is described as a full-bodied combination of Honduran and Indonesian coffees, together with Rainforest Alliance coffee from Colombia.
