Masala blends from The Spice Guru

Wednesday 27 August 2008 14:04
Beef curryCaterers can create authentic-tasting Indian food in minutes with Spice Guru's Masala Blends.

Available in Magical Meat, Vibrant Vegetable and Fabulous Fish, the blends are created using spices such as coriander, cumin, fenugreek and tumeric.

A secret family recipe for garam masala is mixed together with fresh chilli, ginger and garlic.

Each Masala Blend - suitable for vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diets - is designed to complement meat, fish or vegetables.

The company was created by aunt and niece Rama and Rekha Mistry with the aim of bringing Indian cuisine from the Gujarat region of India to a wider audience.

The masalas were introduced to fill a gap in the market for lighter-flavoured traditional curries and are supplied in 1kg units in cases of four - 1kg does 100 servings and cooks 25kg of meat, fish or vegetables.
