The Rainforest Alliance environmental and social standards, which have benefited coffee and fruit farmers in Africa and Latin America, have now been applied to a tea estate. The result is the Rainforest Alliance Certified Lipton Kericho Estate Tea from Unilever Foodsolutions, which comes from its own tea estate in Kenya. The tea, which is specially blended for the UK market, is sold in tagged tea bags which are individually wrapped in a fresh-seal branded envelope and sold in cases of 12 x 100.
