Multiseed croissants

Croissants just got healthier with the launch of what is claimed to be the UK's first fibre-filled, seeded variety by French bakery Délifrance.

The straight-shaped croissant is said to contain 68% more fibre than classic plain and filled white varieties thanks to a multi-seed pastry that combines a mix of poppy, sunflower and brown flax seeds.

The crisp, moist and airy croissants have been formulated to retain the buttery flavour of traditional viennoiserie and are already egg-washed to give a golden finish.

They are supplied in cases of 55 and bake from frozen in 18 to 20 minutes.
