Minibar Systems offers a smart future

Minibar Systems was founded in the early seventies and has become one of the world’s leading hospitality companies with offices in Europe, North America and Asia.

With a history of innovation, Minibar Systems launched one of the first automatic minibars (the “Robobar”) onto the market and today this innovation continues with the launch of what is possibly the most versatile minibar available today – the SmartCube.

The SmartCube is a new concept in minibars – it’s a “three in one” minibar; three choices of automation; three choices of cooling technology; three choices of communication system.

The SmartCube offers unprecedented flexibility; it can upgrade its technology from manual, to semi automated, to a fully automated minibar with the minimum of fuss.  SmartCube’s cooling technologies are low energy, maintenance free with automatic defrosting and long life spans.   All materials used in the SmartCube are environmentally friendly and have been manufactured according to European quality and environmental standards.

Launched in October 2006, the SmartCube has already won recognition when it was awarded “Best in Show” and “Best New Product – Technology” in the 91st Annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show in New York in November 2006.  The Editors’ Choice Awards recognise the most innovative new products for the hospitality industry; editors from leading hospitality trade publications reviewed nearly 150 submissions of cutting edge new products and selected winners based on innovative product design, how a product answers a particular industry need and development or use of a new technology. At this year’s Hitec SMARTCUBE™ received a “HITEC Favourite Solutions Awards” voted for by the show’s attendees.

With sales of over 25,000 across Europe and the US, the first UK automatic installations in Radisson Edwardian, Macdonald and Luton Hoo took place this month, with other UK and European installations scheduled in the forthcoming months - the SmartCube continues it’s success story globally.

Other minibars in the product range include the Compact, the Primo and the SmartFridge.

SmartBox is Minibar Systems’ own brand hotel safe.  Available in two sizes, the SmartBox is an inexpensive key pad operated safe with motorized double bolt, large LED display, battery auto check and low battery warning and a choice of emergency opening and audit functions.
