Flûte to open bar and lounge in London

Champagne and lounge bar Flûte, which has sites in New York and Paris, is set to open in London's Great Portland Street this autumn.

The new bar will offer up to 100 sparkling wines and Champagnes on its menu at any given time, with Champagne prices starting from £45 a bottle.

On offer will be vintage, non-vintage, prestige cuvée, rosé and boutique wines, together with rarer Champagnes. The bar will also showcase new varieties such as Drappier Brut Nature Zero Dosage rosé.

Music will play a key part in the Flûte Bar & Lounge offering, with a playlist created by New York DJs Duane Harriott and Alec DeRuggiero. The venue will also present a schedule of weekly and monthly events, including live jazz, DJs, food pairings and regular Champagne tasting classes.
