Product Improved McDougall's Plain Sponge, Chocolate Sponge and Carrot Cake Mixes

USP The school canteen staples have been enhanced to help caterers provide a better taste, flavour, moistness and texture (at no extra cost) while complying with nutritional guidelines. Salt levels in the plain and chocolate sponge mixes meet 2010 FSA levels while the carrot cake mix contains reduced salt and no artificial colours. All are free from hydrogenated fats and can be made using fruit juices.

Recipe book It's All In The Mix (www.mcdougallsinthemix.co.uk) is a downloadable set of recipes for schools based on the new range of mixes. Treats include Chocolate & Pear Bakewell, Caribbean Carrot Cake and Banana Crunch Muffins.

How supplied 4 x 3.5kg (all) and 1 x 12.5kg bags (chocolate and plain mixes only)

Yield Chocolate/plain - 52 x 100g (3.5kg) and 187 x 100g (12.5kg). Carrot - 112 x 57g (3.5kg)
