Wix makes Morocco comeback

Jonathan Wix, creator of 42 The Calls in Leeds, the Scotsman in Edinburgh, and Hotel de la Tremoille in Paris, is returning to the hotel industry with a new property in Morocco.

Wix, opened Riad Farnatchi in the heart of the oldest part of Marrakech earlier this month.

Room rates at the five-suite hotel, which has been created from three small former residences, range from about £180 to £270 a night, and the whole hotel can be rented for between £945 and £1,175 a night.

The hotel took two years to complete and is the first of several projects Wix is working on in Morocco.
